The sidesperson coordinator is appointed by the Rector with the approval of the Treasurer. The Sidesperson Ministry at the Church exists to guide and provide support services for parishioners attending the main Sunday worship service, and to assist in the smooth operation of the service.

The main duties of sidespersons include greeting and providing bulletins to parishioners as they enter the building, ushering them to available seats, counting the number of persons attending the service, circulating the collection plates, usher parishioners to communion, and counting the offerings at the end of the service. In addition the sidespersons look after special needs of parishioners that might arise during the service.
